Countdown to Opening!

Tenders for the John Gray Centre main building contract have been received by the Council. The complicated process of assessing the tenders has begun and more information will be available shortly.
26th November 2009
Management of the different sections of the website should be taken over by staff from those departments tomorrow. This will mean information can be posted as it becomes available.
2nd September 2009
Archaeological work has begun on Lodge Street and is due to be completed by November 2009. Traffic restrictions will be in place on a section of the street directly opposite the site of the John Gray Centre. News on any interesting finds will be posted here!

At present, the building which will become the John Gray Centre has been vacated by the Council Departments who previously lived there.
The Stage Two Submission is now with the Heritage Lottery Fund. This means that all the architectural and design features have been submitted, alongside the various plans and policies which will make the centre come to life. HLF now take a few months to read through these and may come back to us with further questions.
