Fala and Soutra Parish

We have so many East Lothian stories to tell – and not enough time! We will put up a page about Fala and Soutra Parish, so please bear with us. Fala and Soutra is unusual, not in the fact that it united two ancient parishes (Garvald and Baro as well as Whitekirk and Tyninghame were also ‘united’ parishes) but because the parts spilled across the historic boundaries of East and Midlothian. Researchers interested in this parish might find sources with our Midlothian colleagues.

In the meantime – you could help: contact us if you have stories about the parish and its people and we could help you tell them on this website.
